A/Prof John Boucher AMBDSc, LDS, FRACDS, FICD, GAICD
John commenced practice at the Diamond Valley Dental Group in 1979 after graduating from the University of Melbourne with 1st Class Honours. Since then John has dedicated his professional life to providing the best possible dental care to the community of the Diamond Valley, endeavouring to always be available to respond to all patient needs. John grew up in the northern suburbs, has lived and worked in the Diamond Valley for 40 years and is part of the Diamond Valley community. John and his wife Rhonda have travelled to Vietnam, on a voluntary basis with Rotary Australia, on 8 occasions to provide primary dental care in rural Vietnam.
John was recognised in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours list as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). John has been a clinical teacher and examiner at Melbourne University for 38 years and has examined for La Trobe University Dental School. John regularly provides lectures on Restorative Dentistry and other topics for Melbourne Dental School and has lectured at State and National ADA Conferences. He has been an examiner for the Australian Dental Council for 25 years and is past President of the Australian Dental Council. John has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) and the Distinguished Service Award of the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB). He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD) and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Above all, John loves his clinical practice at Diamond Valley Dental Group in Greensborough and has an interest in all aspects of restorative dentistry.
Dr Xavier Li BDSc (Hons)
Xavier completed his dental training at the University of Melbourne in 2003, graduating with Honours. He began his dental career in country Victoria before joining the Diamond Valley Dental Group in February 2008. Xavier has been involved in Dental Aid trips abroad in Kyrgyzstan, Uganda and Congo.
Xavier enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a particular interest in Endodontics (root canal treatment) and Implant dentistry. He regularly attends continuing education courses to further his clinical skills and ensure his patients have access to the latest advances in dentistry. Xavier's main priority is to provide his patients with a gentle and caring dental experience.
Dr Martha BedoyaBDS, ADC Cert
Martha graduated from the University of Santiago at Cali in Colombia in 2001, with a Grade Point Average of 4.26 on a 0-5.0 scale, ranking her in the top band of her graduating class.
Martha practised as a dentist in Colombia for 6 years before coming to Australia and passing the very demanding Australian Dental Council clinical examination at her first attempt in 2011 with flying colours.
Martha immediately joined the Diamond Valley Dental Group as a full time dentist in 2011, and is now a highly respected member of the dental team. Martha's expertise is born of meticulous attention to detail and devoted interest to all patients' specific needs. Martha is highly competent in preventative and restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and is trained in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.
Martha is strongly commited to continuing education and has a particular interest in all aspects of aesthetic dentistry.
Martha is currently on extended leave, we hope to see her back at Diamond Valley Dental Group in the future.
Dr Sara ShayeganDDS, ADC Cert
Sara graduated with a Doctorate of Dentistry (6 years) from the University of Tehran in 2003 and practised in Tehran for 6 years, owning and running her own practice from 2005-2009.
On moving to Australia, Sara successfully completed the demanding Australian Dental Council examinations in 2012 when she joined Diamond Valley Dental Group.
Sara has particular interests in Children's Dentistry, Endodontics (root canal treatment), Aesthetic Dentistry and sound family and preventive dental care. Sara is committed to continuing education and has successfully completed the primary stage of the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS). She has also recently been accepted to commence a Post Graduate Course in Paediatric Dentistry at University of Melbourne.
Sara is a valued member of the Diamond Valley Dental Group team adding her personal touch to the dental care of the Diamond Valley community
Dr Viviana Montealegre Leon BDS, ADC Cert
Viviana graduated from University of Valle in Colombia in 2006 and practised as a general dentist in the private sector for four years before moving to Australia.
She successfully completed the Australian Dental Council examinations in 2014 and joined the Diamond Valley Dental Group on a part time basis. Seeking a full time role, Viviana took her passion for dentistry to regional NSW later that year. A change in circumstances here enabled Viviana to return to Diamond Valley Dental Group (in a full time capacity) in February 2016.
Viviana aims to make your dental experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible and is focused on giving her patients the best possible dental care. She is passionate about preventive care, restorative dentistry and oral surgery.
Viviana frequently attends continuing education courses, making sure she keeps up to date and is able to offer her patients the latest advances in dentistry.
